"It is I; do not be afraid"

In Jn 6:16-21 Jesus sent his disciples across the lake without him.  As the winds began to blow the disciples became afraid and wondered where Jesus was.  Having rowed several miles they saw Jesus walking on water toward them.  "They were frightened, but he told them, 'It is I; do not be afraid'."  When they saw him out on the water they wanted to bring him into the boat so they would no longer be afraid but all of a sudden their boat ran aground.

How do you think Jesus is testing us now to become his followers and believe in the Kingdom of God?  What miracles have you witnessed and thought that God or Jesus were present in that moment?

Jesus' Temptation

If Jesus resisted so strongly the urge and the tempation to accept the title of the Messiah, the king of Israel, why does Jesus constantly call him self the Son of God, the bread of life, and other titles that indicate he is more than common man, and rather, the son of God?
